Adding Trigger Links to Automations


Step 1: Access Your Workflow

  1. Open Your Account:
    • Log into your GoHighLevel account.
  2. Go to Automations:
    • In the left sidebar, navigate to the Automations section.
  3. Select Workflow:
    • Under Automations, choose Workflows.
    • Find and open your desired workflow where you want to add the trigger link.

Step 2: Access the Email or SMS Section

  1. Navigate to the Email/SMS Section:
    • Within your workflow, find the section where you want to add the trigger link (either in an Email or SMS step).
  2. Open the Content Section:
    • Once you select the Email or SMS step, open the Content Section where the message is composed.
  3. Select the Flash Icon for Trigger Links:
    • In the content editor, look for the flash icon in the header. This icon is used to add trigger links.

Step 3: Select and Add Your Trigger Link

  1. Search for Your Trigger Link:
    • Click on the flash icon to open a dropdown menu.
    • In the dropdown, search for the desired trigger link that you want to add.
  2. Add the Trigger Link:
    • Once you find the trigger link, click on it to insert it into the content at the location where you want it to appear.

NOTE: Using SMS or Email Templates

  • Editing Templates: If you're using an Email or SMS template, you will need to edit the specific template in order to add the trigger link there.
  • Simply open the template, follow the same steps above to insert the trigger link, and save your changes.
